The Habit of Recognizing God’s Provision

Posted in Uncategorized on May 16, 2007 by subzapz

. . . you may be partakers of the divine nature . . . —2 Peter 1:4

We are made “partakers of the divine nature,” receiving and sharing God’s own nature through His promises. Then we have to work that divine nature into our human nature by developing godly habits. The first habit to develop is the habit of recognizing God’s provision for us. We say, however, “Oh, I can’t afford it.” One of the worst lies is wrapped up in that statement. We talk as if our heavenly Father has cut us off without a penny! We think it is a sign of true humility to say at the end of the day, “Well, I just barely got by today, but it was a severe struggle.” And yet all of Almighty God is ours in the Lord Jesus! And He will reach to the last grain of sand and the remotest star to bless us if we will only obey Him. Does it really matter that our circumstances are difficult? Why shouldn’t they be! If we give way to self-pity and indulge in the luxury of misery, we remove God’s riches from our lives and hinder others from entering into His provision. No sin is worse than the sin of self-pity, because it removes God from the throne of our lives, replacing Him with our own self-interests. It causes us to open our mouths only to complain, and we simply become spiritual sponges— always absorbing, never giving, and never being satisfied. And there is nothing lovely or generous about our lives.

Before God becomes satisfied with us, He will take everything of our so-called wealth, until we learn that He is our Source; as the psalmist said, “All my springs are in You” (Psalm 87:7 ). If the majesty, grace, and power of God are not being exhibited in us, God holds us responsible. “God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you . . . may have an abundance . . .” ( 2 Corinthians 9:8  )— then learn to lavish the grace of God on others, generously giving of yourself. Be marked and identified with God’s nature, and His blessing will flow through you all the time.

Microsoft Office Word 2007 for bloggers!

Posted in Uncategorized on April 23, 2007 by subzapz

I’ve been using it in my current company for a few weeks and am slowly learning what new things it can do. It has a publishing function for blogging and integration with many major blog providers. Blog entries
can be authored in Word itself and uploaded directly to a blog. Supported blogging sites include Windows Live Spaces, WordPress, SharePoint, Blogger, Community Server etc.

There’s this “Ribbon” thing that one has to get used to

It replaces the regular “dropdown” look of the previous Office applications.

Looking Into The Face of God

Posted in Uncategorized on April 23, 2007 by subzapz

Some excerpts from my devotional time from Oswald Chambers, “My Utmost for His Highest”:

A servant of God must stand so very much alone that he never realizes he is alone. In the early stages of the Christian life, disappointments will come— people who used to be lights will flicker out, and those who used to stand with us will turn away. We have to get so used to it that we will not even realize we are standing alone. We must build our faith not on fading lights but on the Light that never fails. When “important” individuals go away we are sad, until we see that they are meant to go, so that only one thing is left for us to do— to look into the face of God for ourselves.

Allow nothing to keep you from looking with strong determination into the face of God regarding yourself and your doctrine. And every time you preach make sure you look God in the face about the message first, then the glory will remain through all of it. A Christian servant is one who perpetually looks into the face of God and then goes forth to talk to others.

We are never called on to display our doubts openly or to express the hidden joys and delights of our life with God. The secret of the servant’s life is that he stays in tune with God all the time.

Apple iPhone revealed officially today!!!!!

Posted in Apple, iPhone, tech, technology on January 10, 2007 by subzapz

This is truly awesome stuff!!!

The new design didnt really catch my eye initially when I first glimpsed it at the apple.com website. But after going through its features and technology, I was totally blown away!

Some of the key features that impressed me MUCH:

1. Instead of a keypad lock function like Nokias, this one has a slide function on the screen to unlock.

2. Its an iPOD, phone, browser and much more.

3. Its got an advanced sensor technology. When viewing a display in portrait or landscape, the screen automatically adjusts without us pressing any functions. COOL or what??!!!! Also, when a call comes in, it automatically reduces the brightness when you bring it to your ear. It brightens up when you need to access something while your call is still on. FUAH!!!!!

4. Music and video in a phone. 4Gb space on board, at the very least.

5. Multi-tasking ability on OS X.

6. Fully touch-screen.

7. WiFi capabilities.

What I dont like about it:

1. 2 Megapixels camera only.

2. No known support for more business functionality (maybe coz its just released). Lets see how itll progress in the near future.

Pastor Adam Justin’s Farewell

Posted in GTPJ, Pastor Adam on December 17, 2006 by subzapz

It’s been like 5 years now since I knew this man.

I was just a fella playing acoustic guitar for worship. I always wanted to get into bass guitar playing but was quite nervous coz I had no experience playing it at all at that time. Then came Ps Adam..

This was the guy that helped me become a better Christian, bassist and musician. Im not the best bassist a church can ever have but Im better because of Ps Adam.

I regret not recording some of the testimonies that night. They would have spoken volumes on him. Words will never make it substantially right.

I hope that this video of that night will bless you all as it did for me.

God Bless Pastor Adam!!!!

Theres lots of talk in the market nowadays about Apples new product (If marketwatch.com* talks about it, its serious!). Ive heard and seen some prototypes since more than a year ago. Not sure whether its gonna be a feature-rich or functional one. Nevertheless, its gonna be a good phone. Hope that its earphone jack is more universal than the Nokia ones (Im a Nokia user, btw).

My favorite iPhone design comes with a QUERTY keypad. Check out the pic below.

You can also follow the designs till its full release at this blog.
